Elizabeth Harmetz is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with an MM in
Vocal Performance. An Opera Specialist, she has loved Musical Theater since childhood and
performs frequently in both styles. Her solo concerts Amore and Broadway Baby tour year long
in both Southern California and Central Florida, mixing genres much to her audience’s delight.
Recently receiving Gigmaster’s “Rising Star” award in the opera category, Elizabeth Harmetz’s
most recent opera roles include Mimi in La Boheme, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, and
Susanna in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. In Italy she sang Musetta in La Boheme and
Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte.
This year she also added the roles of Eliza in My Fair Lady and Elsa in The Sound of Music to her
growing repertoire. Other theater roles include Kate in Kiss Me Kate, Sonia in Godspell, and
Laurey in Oklahoma!
In addition to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Elizabeth’s training in opera, theater,
improvisation, and acting includes many significant programs including: BASOTI, International
Institute of Vocal Arts, Bay Area Theatersports, and the Howard Fine Studio. She has performed
with exceptional companies including: Central Florida Lyric Opera, Fullerton Civic Light Opera,
Opera Pasadena, Lyric Theater of Los Angeles, and Once Upon an Opera.
Elizabeth Harmetz enjoys all aspects of vocal performance with additional experience producing,
directing, coaching, and teaching. She has studied the human body as the foundation for
beautiful free singing and brings a combined 15 years experience in the Alexander Technique,
Vocal Awareness®, and Somato Respiratory Integration™ to her voice students and to her own
performances.
Elizabeth Harmetz is certified to teach Vocal Awareness and is the Director of Education and
Certification Programs for the Vocal Awareness Institute. When not performing, Elizabeth

an environment of joy, play, and mastery, where true learning thrives.
